Lost? Ask the Way

Scripture Text: JOhn 14:1-14

Have you ever been given directions that didn’t quite make sense, or found yourself feeling a little lost? This Sunday, Tyrean Martinson explores John 14:1–14, when the disciples wrestle with that same question as Jesus speaks about where He is going and how they can follow. When Thomas honestly asks, “How can we know the way?” Jesus responds with a powerful truth: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” This message invites us to bring our questions honestly and follow Jesus, trusting that even when we feel lost or uncertain, He remains the way, the truth, and the life.

Opportunities to Glorify His Name

Scripture Text: Matthew 25:14-29

The parable emphasizes proactive service over passive inaction and encourages individuals to take risks and use their skills to make a positive impact, rather than hoarding them out of fear. Many read this story in isolation and walk away thinking it’s all about working hard or facing judgment.  However, when we read the parable within the broader context of Matthew 24 and 25, its true message comes into focus. It’s not a call to live in fear of judgment but an encouragement to be faithful with the Gospel, resting in Christ’s finished work and grace. This shift in understanding turns fear into faith and hope.
